Özet

The burnout is a concept defined for the first time by Herbert J. Freudenbergeras the failure of an individual due to excessive demands on energy, power and resources. The burnout has negative effects in terms of both individual and the organization where she/he works. Especially in our country as it is like other occupations the workload intensity has increased for teachers as well who works in education sector because of a number of insidents in recent years.

In this workout, the levels of workout experienced by the teachers working in secondary education instutions were examined by using Maslach Burnout Inventor. The relationship between exhaustion and independent variables, which are divided into three sub-dimensions: emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and personal accomplishment was examined by statistical tecniques.

The research universe consists of high school teachers working in secondary education instutions of 400 points and above according to the TEOG exam conducted in Eskişehir province 2016-2017. The sample consists of 228 teacher in 10 secondary schools determined by stratified sampling method. To collect data ‘Maclach Burnout Inventroy’ questions were used.
