A Patient with Parkinsonism Secondary to Liver Disease

Abstract
Non Wilson hepatocerebral degeneration is a rare disorder which develops due to chronic liver disease and metabolic derangements and which is characterized by irreversible neurological findings. Extrapyramidal involvement as a result of attacks of hepatic encephalopathy has been reported rarely in the literature. In this article, we report a patient who was admitted to our clinic with signs of parkinsonism and who was subsequently diagnosed as having liver cirrhosis with secondary parkinsonism.
Wilson dışı hepatoserebral dejenerasyon nadir görülen, kronik karaciğer hastalığı ve metabolik bozukluklar zemininde gelişen, genellikle de geri dönüşümsüz nörolojik bulgularla karakterize bir hastalıktır. Hepatik ensefalopati ataklarına bağlı ekstrapiramidal tutulum literatürde oldukça nadir olarak bildirilmiştir. Bu makalede, parkinsonizm bulguları ile başvuran ve kliniğimizde karaciğer sirozu tanısı konulan, sekonder Parkinson hastalığı olan bir olgu sunuldu.
