Özet

Vertebrobasilary system infarctions are rarely localized in the territory of anterior inferior cerebellar artery (AICA). In most cases the mechanism for AICA occlusion is atherothrombotic. Although clinical findings varies according to the wideness and localization of the infarction, tinnitus, vertigo, vomiting, ataxia, nistagmus and facial weakness are the most common symptoms. Sudden hearing loss is a rare symptom of the AICA infarction. In this paper we present a 66 year-old male patient who had unilateral sudden hearing loss, facial paralysis and ataxia.
