Artificial intelligence (AI) is frequently used in accounting and finance, as in many other fields. Therefore, this study analyzes the reports, blog posts, and web content of global auditing and consulting firms KPMG, Deloitte, PwC, and EY (the Big Four) to determine how they are using AI technologies in accounting, finance, and auditing, and to assess their future use of AI technologies, along with the opinions and recommendations of other stakeholders in the industry based on their reports. The findings from the study indicate that AI is being effectively used in accounting and finance in areas such as data analysis, reporting, risk management, and fraud detection, and that it will likely be used in more complex functions such as strategic decision-making, sustainability analytics, and process automation.
