Abstract

All Rights Reserved.Hot water treatment on vitality determination for scions and cuttings of some grape variety and rootstocks were aimed in this study. For this purpose, 99 R, Ramsey and 1103 Paulsen rootstocks cuttings and Yalova İncisi, Pembe Gemre ve İtalia grape varieties scions were used as materials. Hot water treatments were applied at 50 oC for 15, 30, 45 and 60 minutes. After the application, the scions were dibbed as one bud and cuttings were dibbed as it’s used as standards into perlite. Then, these materials were allowed to develop with 25 ±1 oC and 70-80 % relative humidity conditions for 35 days. Later, the root and shoot formation of the cuttings and scions were evaluated. Based on the data, there were some important differences found on formation of root and shoot between rootstocks and grape varieties.
