Abstract

© 2018 IEEE.Three-phase grid-connected photovoltaic inverters are commonly used to feed power back to the utility. This paper aims to investigate a different DC-DC converter approach for photovoltaic applications which are connected to mains. The output of the PV array is connected to the Super-Lift Luo Converter (SLLC) to boost the system voltage significantly and a three-phase H-bridge inverter is used to produce sinusoidal output for grid connection. The principal aim of this paper is to provide an alternative PV inverter topology solution for medium scale (<50 kW) applications as well as distributed grid-connected inverters. This paper will provide the operation principles of the proposed circuit and a range of computer simulation results.
