This study aims to discuss the outcomes of welfare state practices in middle-income countries through an empirical analysis focused on the dimension of human development. In this context, a panel data analysis is conducted where the Human Development Index (HDI) serves as the dependent variable, while health and education expenditures, per capita economic growth, and unemployment rates are employed as independent variables. The study first reviews the existing literature within this scope and subsequently discusses the findings obtained from the empirical analysis.
