Asst. Prof. EBUBEKİR KARAKOCA

I'm an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Geography at Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University. I received my B.A. in Geography from Ondokuz Mayıs University in 2014. In 2015, I was appointed as a Research Assistant at Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University, where I completed my M.A. in 2017 and my Ph.D. in 2022 at the Institute of Social Sciences.

My research focuses on fluvial geomorphology and geochronology to understand landscape evolution, with a particular interest in the Quaternary tectonics of northwestern Anatolia. I also conduct studies in geoarchaeology and paleogeography. In my work, I utilize geospatial technologies, remote sensing, geomorphic mapping, morphometric analyses, and radiometric dating techniques such as optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) dating.
